The morning of August 28th, the ancient city of Wugang Hui Long Street entrance sewage pipe project construction process, construction workers found a well-preserved stone turtle. The discovery was exciting and immediately attracted widespread attention from the community.

Stone turtles are a common decorative element in ancient architecture, known in ancient times as“Bi Xi”. It often carries a stone tablet or stone tablet on its back, symbolizing perseverance and longevity. Wugang Prefecture Records recorded "five dragons do not come out of the city, three tortoises guard the city gate" folklore stories. The five dragons refer to the five bridges named after dragons in the city of Wugang, i.e. Xinglong Bridge, Panlong Bridge, Xianglong Bridge, Youlong Bridge and Hualong Bridge. Legend has it that in Wugang City, inside the East Gate, the old South Gate and Ao Shan Street, there used to be three huge stone tortoises with lifelike carvings guarding the city gates. Those three stone tortoises are not only the loyal guards of the ancient city, but also the hope and trust of the people of Wugang for peace and tranquility.(翻译:万姗姗)
