Cha Guozi, also known as Tang Guozi, has a history of more than 1,400 years, is the ancient tea feast in the tea and eaten cakes. They are beautifully shaped and brightly colored, reflecting the aesthetics of ancient Chinese life. How do you make those pretty Cha Guozi?
At the Changsha Yuhua District's non-heritage heritage site, Di Tea House·Oriental Tea Snack, teacher Luo Hui is a veteran craftsman in the art of Cha Guozi making, dedicated to passing on and innovating this ancient skill.
Washing, soaking, peeling, steaming, mashing beans...Under the guidance of Ms. Luo, we pinched the outer skin into the shape of a lotus leaf, which not only requires handcrafting skills, but also tests one's aesthetics and patience. "Every detail needs to be finely crafted with the personal touch of the maker."
Ms. Luo explained that at present, the number of production is mainly determined by taking orders and sold to high-end tea parties and banquets all over the country, and some events will also place special orders. "We welcome young people who like handmade and are creative to join us and contribute to the inheritance and innovation of non-heritage."She said.(翻译:万姗姗)
