7月11日，一年一度的湘西土家族苗族自治州农历“六月六”传统苗族民族节日，分别在泸溪县、凤凰县举行。
经过岁月的洗礼，“六月六”活动内容日益丰富。每到这一天，人们省亲会友，歌场对歌，通宵达旦。最吸引人的仍是那声声苗歌。苗族小伙子和姑娘们躲进树林里、山坡上、小溪边以对歌来表达对爱情的向往，“物色”自己的意中人。
除了文艺展演，万人长桌宴把热闹氛围推向高潮。湘西黄牛肉、血粑鸭、米豆腐等特色美食陆续摆盘上桌，苗族传统“高山流水”迎宾敬酒仪式，让广大宾客乐在苗乡，醉在苗乡。（来源：湖南日报）
