6月2日，道县潇水河，龙舟划行在河面上。当天，道县人民政府成功挑战“参赛人数最多的龙舟赛(团队)”吉尼斯世界纪录。经吉尼斯世界纪录认证官现场认定，最终结果为212艘。连日来，中国龙舟公开赛(湖南·永州道县站)、道县2024年端午节国家非遗龙船赛在道县举行，吸引200余支队伍、近7000名运动员竞渡，赛事规模之大、龙船数量之多、参赛队员之众为历年之最。
道县龙船习俗自宋以来已传承千年，2021年被列入国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录。道县龙船制作精美，船身长18-20米，宽约1.3-1.5米，抬头翘尾，配有长约5米的“关刀舵”。船头造型分龙、虎、凤、麒麟四大类，按色彩分六龙五虎和“金凤”“银麒”，代表着每个村落社区特有的宗族信仰、文化标识和审美意趣。
每逢赛事，在外务工的后生会专程请假回乡，参加训练和比赛。道县龙船赛既是纪念伟大爱国诗人屈原，也是纪念生于端午的理学鼻祖周敦颐。（来源：湖南日报、潇湘晨报）
On June 2, dragon boats paddled on the Xiaoshui River in Daoxian. On that day, the People's Government of Daoxian successfully challenged the Guinness World Record for “Dragonboatrace with the largest number of participants (team)”. The final result, as determined on-site by the Guinness World Records certifying official, was 212 ships. Recently，the China Dragon Boat Open Tournament (Hunan-Yongzhou Daoxian Station) and the Daoxian 2024 Dragon Boat Festival National Intangible cultural heritage Dragon Boat Race were held. It attracted more than 200 teams and nearly 7,000 athletes to race. The scale of the event, the number of dragon boats and the number of participants are the largest ever.
The custom of dragon boat in Daoxian has been passed down for a thousand years since Song Dynasty, and in 2021 it was included in the list of representative items of national intangible cultural heritage. Daoxian Dragon Boat is beautifully crafted, with a hull length of 18-20 meters, a width of about 1.3-1.5 meters, a raised head and a cocked tail, and a 5-meter-long “Guandao rudder”. There are four main types of boat heads: dragon, tiger, phoenix and unicorn. According to the colors, there are six dragons, five tigers and “golden phoenix” and “silver unicorn” , which represent the unique clan beliefs, cultural symbols and aesthetic interests of each village community.
Those who work outside the country will take special leave to return to their hometowns to participate in the training and competitions every time there is a tournament. The Daoxian Dragon Boat Race commemorates both Qu Yuan, the great patriotic poet, and Zhou Dunyi, the originator of science, who was born on the Dragon Boat Festival.
