5月12日，岳麓公安分局西湖派出所接到群众报警，称在某工地内有一女子不慎失足坠井，情况万分紧急。
民警张青带领辅警周金玉立即赶到现场，发现井下的女子，脸色煞白，手臂紧紧撑住一侧井壁，下半身浸泡在粪水中，瑟瑟发抖。
由于井中空气不流通，时间一长可能会导致意识丧失，面临生命危险。“把绳子给我，我下去！”面对危急情况，周金玉毫不犹豫取下警械装备，脱下帽子和鞋子，下井展开营救。
下到井中后，周金玉发现女子的手臂受伤，随即将绳子绑在女子的腰间，安抚着女子情绪的同时，将女子身体固定好。一切准备就绪后，周金玉与消防救援人员一起，合力将女子拉出井中。
成功救出女子后，尽管全身被脏臭的粪水浸湿，周金玉还是露出了开心的笑容。“我没事，回家洗个澡就好了！”（来源：长沙晚报、新湖南）

After successfully rescuing the woman, Zhou Jinyu showed a happy smile despite being soaked with dirty and smelly fecal water all overhis body. “I'm fine, I'll just go home and take a shower!”He said.
