5月9日，中国篮球协会主席姚明一行现身长沙明德华兴中学，助力“篮球正青春”友谊赛等活动。明德中学男篮、地质中学男篮等多支队伍共聚一堂、角逐球场。
据了解，在近些年国家级篮球比赛中，长沙市队伍成绩名列前茅。明德中学男篮、地质中学男篮与全国顶级强队清华附中多次在总决赛相见。雅礼中学女篮在省级乃至全国中学生女篮中保持领先地位。在2021-2022赛季中国初中篮球联赛全国总决赛中，明德华兴男篮问鼎总冠军。
On May 9th, Yao Ming, Chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, showed up at Changsha Mingde Huaxing Middle School to help with the “Basketball is Youthful” Friendship Match and other activities.
