近日，人民日报海外社交媒体在平台发布了一条短视频，推介湖南长沙的一处独特景观——惜字塔，其树塔相依共生的奇观瞬间吸引了全球的目光，收获许多海外网友的点赞和转发。视频短时间内获得上万次点赞。

惜字塔是用于烧毁书有文字的纸张的地方，体现了古人“敬惜字纸”的理念，同时也是长沙的一处宝藏打卡地。据悉，惜字塔始建于清道光十八年(1838)，历经风雨沧桑。清光绪二十六年(1900年)，塔顶不幸因雷击而毁损，后长出一株朴树。沧海桑田，世事变迁，120多年来，这株树苗茁壮成长，如今已亭亭如盖，形成全世界少有的塔树共存之景。

Xizi Tower was once a place to burn paper that had writing on it, embodying the traditional concept of "respecting paper with written words." The tower is now a popular tourist attraction in Changsha. The tower was built in the 18th year of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1838), and has been through the vicissitudes of wind and rain. In 1900, the top of the tower was unfortunately destroyed by a lightning strike, and a parka tree later grew. Over the past 120 years, this tree has thrived, forming one of the rare scenes of tower-tree coexistence in the world.
